The Archivio Antonio Scaccabarozzi 
is pleased to invite you to  the opening of SEEING THROUGH / Vedere Attraverso, with the curatorship of Elisabetta Longari, at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò in New York.

During the opening will be played the short animation film entitled Punto d'aria (Air point) realised by Monica Saccomandi, professor at the Academy of Fine Art "Albertina", Turin.

Antonio Scaccabarozzi (Merate, Italy 1936-2008) and Marthe Keller (New York, 1948) belong to different artistic generations, had different cultural upbringings, lived on different continents, (although Marthe Keller has been present in Europe, and particularly in Italy, for a long time), and experimented with different styles.

If we systematically compare their works, however, the two painters seem to move fromsimilar visual problems, and suggest answers that unexpectedly relate to each other. Both artists base the perceptual dynamics of their works on the experience of seeing through.
